You can make changes at any time. Simply go to member login under "Property Owners" and enter your username and password. You will be taken to a secure section of the site allowing you to make updates to all aspects of your property including pictures, details, features and prices.

"Some pictures on the web look excellent, while some are not so hot, what's up?"

Barring exceptional circumstances this is due to the original quality of submitted pictures. Pictures sent in for properties should always be larger than the size they will display on the website (i.e. Larger than 208px x 168px).

"How quickly can you get my property up and running on the web?"

This can literally be accomplished in a matter of mintues. We offer a free trial listing (click here) - complete the form and you will be a sent an activation email within a few minutes containing credentials to access a secure area where you can enter details for your property. When satisfied with your property's representation you can set it's status to active in your secure area and it will be publically visible on www.capetown-direct.com (i.e. accessible from the appropriate suburb and property type list on the site)

"Why am I not getting hits/enquiries?"

The primary reason for this would be using poor pictures for your property. In our experience pictures are a property's most important seller. It is important to submit pictures which are larger than they will be displayed on the website (when they get resized to be smaller they will always look better). Remember that a very bad quality picture can, in some cases, be worse than having no picture at all.

"Why am I getting plenty of hits but no bookings?"

This is normally an indication that your rental prices are too high. Compare your property prices to other equivalent properties in your area. Also compare your BE/H (booking enquiry to hit ratio) to the average value in your property's suburb. If it's far lower then consider dropping your rental prices. If the suburb as a whole has a low BE/H then we may not be marketing the suburb to its fill potential.
